Looking for a Canadian E Bike Retailer

I got my Giant Dirt-E in Canada. I got it from a bike shop in Victoria, BC, but Giant has stores throughout Canada

@erider_61

This may not be what you want however it may be worth having a look at, Teo Fat bike, I have one and only paid $2600 Canadian all in shipped to me from Montreal.

Nice bike but not looking for a Fat Bike...
In that case you may want to consider this Voltbike and simply order a 2nd 12.8Ah battery for $599 cdn. It still comes in well under your 3K budget and you are good to ride all day. https://www.voltbike.com/voltbike-bravo.html
The Voltbike Bravo is definitely added to my short list. Even with just 1 battery it meets all my criteria. Thanks for all your help Steve.

The Voltbike price is tough to beat for sure, but the Colt has better components. Hydraulic disc brakes for example , which would be near the top of my must have list.

I did not notice the Voltbike had mechanical disc brakes. Thanks for pointing that out. Off my list again...lol

This Demo is at the top of your budget but it is a top quality Canadian bike that challenges the high end stuff like Haibike , Cube or even Riese + Muller! (Link Removed - No Longer Exists)

It might be just me, but I find that HUGE hub motor really ugly. And a new one is way out of my budget and as my first ebike I really could not bring myself to buy a used demo

fair enough as beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To me this is an awesome bike since it has Quad piston Hydraulics , Shimano Deore changer , an air suspension fork . These things alone would make me choose a Demo like this over a brand new bike with cheaper bits.

Careful with the Ohm bike, BionX, the motor manufacturer are out of business. You might want to think twice about buying any direct drive powered bike, they're different and not for everyone.

Do they still? I can't find the info on their website..

I no longer see the discount offered on their website either. It was on their "Delivery e-Bike" page. I would contact them and see if it's still available. They might be willing to offer it rather than lose a sale.

Well E-rider ? what did you end up with?

Being the biggest procrastinator on the planet. I have still not pulled the trigger on the purchase. I have been a member here since Sept. '18 and have watched countless reviews & educated myself through reading the fantastic info supplied by the members here. From hydraulic brakes, torque & cadence sensors, hub vs mid drive, and all the other features that real world users at EBR contribute to the forum.

We are finally starting to feel like Spring here in this part of Canada, & I have pretty much decided on the VoltBike Bravo for price & features, although the Ariel Rider W Class Cruiser in my avatar could still end up in the garage. Hope to be on the road by the beginning of May.

I noticed that my local bike store dropped the prices in Winter and raised them back up in Spring. For Example the Trek Powerfly 5 was dropped by $500 in Winter but he will not take that price now. Sometimes it does not pay to procrastinate.

I've checked out the bike shops listed here, it's all the same, your paying big for the bike! 12 amp hours may take you to moms place but no further.
In my mind it's all about amp/hours. i have a 30 amp/hour lithium plus 2 12 volt SLA's wired in series for 24 volts/20 amp hours extra. the bike cost $100 CDN! The extra parts are from the dollar store! This is why i call it frankenbike :)
It's all about lookin' good or performance. Go for any bike with large battery capacity under 3 grand.
Hey my first car was a AMC Gremlin, only guy in the neighborhood to have a car, could not keep people out of it :) beautiful in my mind and did what i needed.
