Looking for a brilliant solution

I have a ABUS Granit plus integrated lock and chain. Today the key broke off in the lock while opening. The distal 1/3 of the key snapped off in the lock. My LBS suggested calling a locksmith. He can't come for several days. Anybody have other thoughts? I really don't want to cut it off.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know what your Abus key looks like but I've had pretty good luck removing broken standard type keys with these two tools:

If you can expose enough of the broken key shank with the first tool, you can usually grab it with one of the tweezer tools in the second set.

May not work on the Abus lock but it's worth a look.
