Hi guys, I'm having the hardest time doing the simplest thing and that is removing the lock ring on my specialized veto for. There are no markings on the ring. On 1 youtube video I see 1 guy removing it by turning it clockwise and on another video, not for the same model, removing it anticlockwise. 1 of those methods he held the brakes closed with a zip tie and that's the 1 I tried except even using a 3 ft pipe on top of the crescent wrench for extra torque but it looks like I have just tightened it more to the point where the brakes no longer stopped the wheel. So can anyone help me before I screw this up completely. I'm actually going to buy a battery operated impact wrench tomorrow which seems to be the easiest way of getting it off but I am also concerned that the impact was somehow affect the brose motor. Thanks for your help
