Some threads have indicated that it is not possible to attach a Kryptonite U-lock to the frame because the battery obstructs it. This is true if you restrict yourself to the 3 locations that are suggested in the Kryptonite instructions, but you need to look beyond this. The threads' suggestions to put the lock in the luggage are not ideal (the lock consumes a lot of space; the lock will probably make a hole in the luggage).
It is very easy to attach the lock to the frame in a way that does not obstruct anything else and does not cause collisions with the rider. Refer to the attached photos. No special installation techniques are needed. Just follow the supplied installation instructions and make it look like the photos.
