Hello everyone! Just wanted to say I’m happy to be part of the Lectric bike club. After about a month of researching folding fat tire e-bikes the Lectric xp always just stood out the most with looks first and cost for what you get. I wanted to keep it under 1000$ and for 899$ it offered more for me at least than any other brands out there.Even on par or better than other folding costing much more.
Im 51 years old and have been riding my one bike for the past 15 years.A 3 speed beach cruiser. Its been a great bike but recently have been trying to stay on the flat roads and avoiding all the slight uphills because it’s just no fun.
For me now I want my biking experience to be just plain fun and no work. I want to able to enjoy the scenery going uphill also.I ended up ordering the white standard frame Lectric xp.Was trying to talk myself into getting the step through but for me I have to feel good about the looks of the bike riding it or even parked in my garage.Thats what attracted me to this bike in the first place. Its all personal preference but I just like the way the standard frame looks.
Well now it just a waiting game for when it arrives and I know this bike will give me lots of fun.

Woodie, Welcome to the group. I am new to E bikes as well and purchased the XP for commuting around town and because of the great reviews and low cost of entry. The only upgrades have done are due to necessity or convenience; but the bike is nearly perfect as is, in my opinion. One observation is that on my mountain bike and hybrid bike I mount by swinging my right leg over the saddle. But on the XP I seem to mount by stepping my right leg through the frame??? So, in a since it is a step through for me with just a little taller step.

Picture of my XP is at the Newport Beach Ca Jetties near the "Wedge" (famous surfing spot). My upgrades are new seat and suspension seat post to protect my neck, left side mirror, and bell); not much but all great additions.

Newport Beach? Lots of cool places to ride around over there I bet.Its been a few years since I’ve been over to that area,Laguna,Huntington and Newport. Beautiful out there.I used to stay at the casa laguna when I was out in that area.Well back to the bike, in with you on just stepping over the frame. Its seems low enough and like you said if you have a bag or some kind of carrying crate on the bike it would be a long leg swing getting onto the seat.Ill see how the bike is for now but have no problem getting a softer seat if needed.so far the only thing I see doing is getting some smooth street tires for it when the stock knobby tires wear out.Thats all.
