just accepted as a new member to EBR and wanted to drop a 'hello' in here
i'm an avid for the last 10years cyclist, living on the coast, picked-up as a way to keep active and for the sport of it - it's now become a passion/obsession.
in my early 50's but seemingly in great shape, bad genetics has handed me coronary artery disease and had a few stents implanted earlier this year
still active in regular solo rides, and participate in long endurance group rides (up to 100mi) but mostly in the RED zone now with my HR. the cyclists i ride with are generally fast(er) and we try to keep up a fairly good pace
through testing, doctor recommendation is to keep the AVG/MAX HR at a range I'm finding difficult to maintain when riding (I'm typically above). I want to continue to hang with those I ride without killing myself, so interested in buying an e-bike.
currently have 2 regular bikes - a CF road bike and an AL gravel bike (within last year).
this forum appears to be a wealth of information for all things e-bikes
looking forward to the conversations!
