That beer is ranked #8. #1 is a 12% stout. https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/top-rated/. I like Big Chicken and Hank the Tank. When you get a Hank the Tank to go, they take an aluminum cylinder to the tap fill it and can it, then put on the label.

The Alchemist has its Imperial IPA as #5.

Heady Topper is one of those east coast IPA's that I'd put in the same class as Pliny the Elder. I pick it up when I work races in Vermont. Interestingly enough, one pub we go to often has it frequently. $14/can, and it's true. It tastes much better in the can than poured.

By Russian River do you mean Pliny? People stand in line for that one for its release each year. Here is an old article about it.

I've lived in the same house about a mile from the Russian River pub in Santa Rosa since 1984 so was very much aware when they came on the scene in 1997 when it was at Korbel, (it was good), and then they moved nearby in Santa Rosa in 2004. I thought they were not as good and the brewery was way too loud so rarely went.

Then the Pliny the Younger insanity started so I tried it a few time, mostly without waiting due to "connections" and while the first time it was very good, every other time was just OK.

I prefer other local breweries and I still think nothing beats UK or EU beer at the source.

Pretty much any local beer I've had in a UK pub or in an EU tavern has been lights out excellent.

I have been waiting months for a bike to be made. And then there were delays on getting the GRX gravel brakes to the factory. It was supposed to be here yesterday by 5:00 PM but was in Fresno, half the state away, at 2 AM this morning.

Here is its path: STRATFORD UPON AVON GB; ATHERSTONE GB; RIDGMONT GB; FELTHAM GB; PHILADELPHIA, PA; MEMPHIS, TN; LAWTON, OK; LUBBOCK, TX; ALBUQUERQUE, NM; FRESNO, CA.

Next will be Windsor, then out for delivery. What is weird is I looked at a map and Windsor is 90 miles from Stratford-Upon-Avon! The bike will have so many miles on it, that by the time it gets here I will have to toss it in the ash bin.

I just see one goose and one gull. I would like a sculpture that is made to cast shadows that change forms as the sun passes. It would be a sort of sundial in a plaza.

There is a Seagull approaching you flying up from from the right.
There is also a Seagull flying away from you, over your shoulder from right to left.

Same with the Too Goooses, but they be flying right.

In Brittan they ride right lever = front brake. I thought I a has stepped through the looking glass to madness for three seconds today. I had just removed everything from the handlebar of a UK bike and flipped the backswept bar upside down and left to right so it looks like a moustache bar from 1928. Cool, right? But when I went to attach the levers they were backwards or upside down. WTF. Then I figured it out. Who knew?

Okay so sculpture idea: For example, people age in known ways. Noses get longer ... So, the sculpture would evolve its shadow depending on the angle of the sun. The sculpture would be abstract and the shadow realistic.

Oh my, really??? I never knew that, Pedal! Great, I learned my new thing for the day and I’m not even done with breakfast yet!

DIN spec is left front and the BSEN14764 is right front, Gazelle for example follows the UK norm for most bikes. Other EU brands follow the Gemran standard.

I don't think it's just the UK. My Tesoro model was recalled in the US because some amount of the 2021 production had the levers set up "backwards" for the US. Either mine wasn't one of them, or the selling dealer did the recall. My guess is the latter, because the front brake line is too long and should be trimmed.

It is Australia, too. Could be Ireland as well.
