Tesla is the obvious 800# gorilla - really surprised they haven't built a few ebikes - make a few with Ludicrous mode just to fire up the MAMILs and emtb haters

At first glance, the prototype looks to be all form and no function. Not sure how comfortable the ride would be. The airless tires look interesting though.

What prototype is that? Cause the design pictures were not Tesla's but "The designs featured here were sent to Electrek by Industrial Design student Kendall Toerner."

My view? Good luck getting replacement parts on a custom ebike. And if you somehow are able to, I'm sure they'll cost an arm and a leg.

Not really. I think GM's attempt with its new folder and any Tesla bike will be doomed, but will welcome any advances they can make in battery technology that make them safer.

Most future Tesla EBikes will be ridden between Palo Alto and Woodside, with the balance on the CalTrain to SF.
