Hello, my name is David and I’m from Ohio. This is my first post. A little bit about me. I recently retired and got back on the bike so to speak. I am training for a charity century ride. I currently ride over 20 mph. I am looking at getting a 9.9S stagger for my wife so we can ride together. She test rode an 8S a few weeks back and liked it. The bike shop tried to find a small 9.9S but there aren’t any available. They said I could order one but with supply issues it would be early next year before It arrives. Just curious if any of you out there have ordered a bike lately and what kind of lead times you are seeing? Also curious if anyone has heard if there are any changes in store for the 2022 9.9S model? I appreciate the input. Thanks and keep riding.

I've been looking for an Allant+ 8 for quite a while. Trek used to have the 2021 model listed on their website, but it wasn't possible to order it from the website or the dealer, and there were apparently only a few units in stock at dealers as of a few weeks ago. I viewed one locally, but it was damaged, so I did not purchase it. It was sold a few days later, and Trek has now moves the 2021 Allant+ 8 into the "archived" section of its website.

The 2022 Allant+ 7 and 7s are listed on the Trek site, as are the Allant+ 8s. Since the Allant+ 8 and Allant+ 8s share almost all the same parts, I expect the 2022 Allant+ 8 will be re-listed soon. I'm not sure about this, but I suspect that Trek waits until all of the 2021 models are sold out across the dealers, at which point they archive the listing on their site, and at some point add the 2022 listing to the site. The 2021 Allant+ 8 has been archived for a week or two, and the 2022 still hasn't been added, so I'm not sure how long this process takes.

But you're looking for an Allant+ 9.9s stagger, so why the heck am I telling you all of this? It's because they still have the 2021 version of that bike listed on their website (https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en_US/...ant-9-9s-stagger/p/30259/?colorCode=black_red). If you select the small size from the dropdown box, it says this item is still in stock at local dealers (a small size of this bike is in stock only 81 miles from me!). So, if my hunch is correct, you'll have to wait for the 2021 models to sell out before it's archived on the site, and the 2022 model is announced and can be ordered. I'm not 100% sure of this, of course, but it's my suspicion after checking the Trek website daily for the last couple of months.

Good luck!

Hey Nonlinear thanks for the input. Funny how that works as the shop I went to in Columbus had a small and a large Allant+ 8 in stock. If the 9.9 was in stock 81 miles from me, it would be in my garage and on the road shortly thereafter.

Ditto - if the 9.9s were in stock near me, it would also be in my garage and I wouldn't even be considering the 8! Unfortunately they don't sell the 9.9 or the S series in Canada though... :( Thought about trying to smuggle it over the border, but it's not worth the risk haha

I found a Rail 5 medium a month or so ago just by dumb luck searching on large sports store website. There were two of them nationwide in their system. Scheels was the name. One was in Dallas and the other was in Minnesota. I called a store and found out where they were, called that store and bought it sight unseen over the phone. Took a 4 hr drive the next day to pick it up. Total dumb luck and persistence! Best of luck!
