Hi everyone,
I’m new to this forum and thought I’d introduce myself. I recently joined and I’m really enjoying the discussions here so far. I own an R8, and most of the time I prefer riding alone, it helps me clear my mind and enjoy the road at my own pace.

Would love to hear how others ride too. Do you usually ride solo or in groups? And if there are any R8 owners here, I’d love to know your experiences and any tips you have.

Welcome, Ava! I prefer to ride alone. I take cameras along and stop often to take pictures. Other riders may sometimes find that annoying. Also, I take many pictures of birds. People talk and scare birds away. Birds seem to do interesting things when I am quiet and patient. And, as you say, riding alone, at one's own pace, is wonderful for clearing one's mind.

Ongoing discussion of this topic after you get past the first few posts about towing others' bikes with your own:

What's an R8?

Welcome to the forum. I ride solo and find it to be a very zen experience.

I mostly ride solo. Did have a lady friend I used to ride with. I lent her one my spare ebikes, and took her on the best rides in the area.
She ended up buying her own ebike and riding the routes I took her on with other people 🤔 .
So, be careful on who you ride with. They might steal your rides.

Welcome to the forum . An early snowfall has shut us down, but I just crossed 3000 miles a week ago. My wife is just shy of 2400 miles, which means I rode 600 solo. My favorite solo rides are when I pack my bike and drive to a bike path that is new to me. At home, we hit the same routes a hundred times over and over, but it's scenic.

We'll ride when it's hot and when it's cold, but I've learned to quit when there's ice out there. You can cruise along on dry pavement in the sun, pass under a shady spot, and it's sheer black ice. Boom!

20" wheels. 1500W. The @Stefan Mikes special euro addition.
