I'm a newbie from Oregon with a Trek xm 700+.

Nice choice in bike @Alan Acock!

I always wanted a Trek growing up, I thought they were the best bikes having tried my friend's regular "human powered" Treks lol

I saw a bit of Court's review on this eBike and thought it would be good choice for me to use as a commuter to work, but in the end I didn't get it for similar reasons I never got a Trek in the past, I am worried someone would steal it! haha

Take care, ride safe!

  • I plan to use the ebike for trips around town and for club rides in the area. This webpage is an enormous resource for beginners like me.
Welcome Alan! Your Trek is a terrific Ebike that you're really going to enjoy here in the valley w/MVBC
Mary's Peak is no longer a tough climb
All the best,

I really could not keep up with other riders and this makes it possible for me to keep riding with members of our great club! Thanks for the nice words.

@Alan Acock, ebikes are the grand equalizer on the road :D and those Treks are well built. Have fun chasing everyone up the hills and welcome to EBR!

I made two recent upgrades that you might find of interest.

  1. Rock Shox Paragon Front Fork
  2. Body Float seatpost.
Just like my car, I'm never finished adding/removing/modding parts.
