How do you replace Powertube packs with body panels attached?

Some bikes come with the Powertube covered by a model specific panel painted to match the rest of the bike. I searched around a bit but didn't see how this works.

Does the body panel detach from the battery? If not, are you at the mercy of the OEM when you replace a battery?

The designs of these covers vary... it's an OEM-specific part (not Bosch), so your local dealer or brand representative will have the best guidance. Sometimes the panel attaches to the eBike frame, other times it attaches to the T-slot grooves in the extruded case of the battery. That being said, most that I've encountered are fairly easy to figure out. Official best practice is to have a Certified Dealer for your eBike brand remove it (or show you how to remove it), but caution is advised in any case so as not to create a dangerous situation with the battery, or potentially nullify a future warranty claim.

Can you post a picture of your eBike? The forum may be able to provide guidance if someone is familiar with the design you have.

Hi, I don't have a Bosch powered E-bike right now, I was just curious how this was dealt with, because it's separate from the batteries which are of course ubiquitous. Thank you for the answer :)

The Trek Allant+7 comes with the 500wh PowerTube and that unit consists of the painted cover, two different end caps and a spacer section. You can replace the battery but you need all those other parts to make it fit and lock into the RIB compartment.
