Hot tips on bike display set up? Display actual voltage?

Hello again all,

setting up my core 5 I noticed you can only view battery capacity by the bars on the display. Fine but I thought I read somewhere that someone changed some settings to allow the display to show precise voltage? Could be wrong. Also any other must do tips are welcome, I downloaded the use manual to make changes.

Which display does yours have? the one with 2 larger buttons on the top or the one with 3 smaller buttons on top

The core 5 has the KD21C display. Three buttons on the left side of the display.

Yeah any info appreciated. I went for 20 mile ride this morning, using PAS 5 and others, and I had a full battery bar in the display. Obviously the battery is not full so this is useless information. I then took the bike out again and it immediately dropped two bars. Just tell me what the level is! Not what you think it should be! Very stupid.

I have two Core 5s, one has the 3 button and the other the 2 button design i mentioned (must have been a generational change thing), so that is why i asked, as the 3 button version has quite a bit of adjust-ability compared to the earlier 2 button versions:

I did that already but thank you anyway the bars are set to 20/40/60/80/95% of total capacity now, which is MORE helpful but still not ideal.

I suppose you could always tap into the 5pin connector for the display and install a cheap dedicated voltage display readout. Or buy another 5 pin display that shows voltage by default. Its likely going to fluctuate some though regardless as things like increased load and battery recovery will play into what the voltage shows.

I've mentioned various times here and on the Ride1Up FB group that I have changed mine to show voltage instead of percentage, but that is on a 700 series, which uses a color KD218 display.
