Himiway

I ordered an electric bike from Himiway at the beginning of June. They said it would ship in July. Then they said the bike was "sealed at the port because of the virus". Then I received a shipping notice from FedEx that was cancelled two days later. Then another shipping notice, but no action on the actual shipping. Claire at Himiway twice said that the bike had been delivered to FedEx. I called FedEx and was told that they do not have the bike because Himiway hasn't prepaid. So...two and a half months of empty promises (some would say "lies"). Still no bike, and I am still told by Himiway that they gave it to FedEx. Claire said, "FedEx's computer crashed and they just don't know that they have it". Do you believe that?

Though these are different times, I believe you need to consider talking to your credit card provider (if you went that route) in cancelling this order and getting a refund back.

More info on Himiway. The address they show on their website IS NOT their address. That is the address of the shipping company (King Speed) that they use. No connection at all to Himiway. Himiway appears to be a shell game.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!! I have the same experience of incompetent customer service. I bought the bike on June 15th. I immediately received an email from customer support in China said it will be shipped out end of July. That was the only response I received that I don't have to initiate to get. I follow up end of July and they said it will ship out a soon as they can. Received a tracking on Aug 5th. Wrong address so they sent me another tracking 5 days later. Said will take up to 2 weeks to ship from FedEx location. Address still wrong so I called FedEx they said they don't have the product. This company said FedEx has it so I was asked to wait again. 2 weeks later no movements on the tracking and no updates from them. I email again and said they are having issues at the warehouse but no details. Told me to wait. Guessing it was due to the fire but again no details whatsoever. I followed up every week and I got the same answer without any real timeline. Then 5 weeks later they told me the bike was lost after I asked them again about this shipment. They can't provide any proofs or claim of the bike lost. They said they will ship out the replacement in 5 days. 5 days came and gone. No news so I follow up again. They said it will ship in 5 days AGAIN. That was yesterday and now they said they are out of the bike. 3+ months for a piss poor service and communication.

The phone number here and on the email is to a person is useless as they can't do anything to help. Said all he only handle IT and sales but not AFTER SALES. There is no way to talk to a live person to escalate this issue. The only support I have it through email and they failed abysmally in trying to solve any issue. In fact they didn't even try other than continue to give me excuses. This is an epic failure on this company and all riders should know to not ever trust this company.

That is very similar to my experience. They are either truly incompetent, or are deliberately muddling the issue. The good news is: when I finally received my bike, I was very happy. It is a great bike...high quality components, and great performance. Too bad we have to deal with all the lies.

While I to experienced a long wait (almost 2 months, 25 May to 17 Jul), I did get both of my Himiways and they both work Great and are fun to ride.

Great ride yesterday to the Little Red Lighthouse in New York City. Peddled all the way with battery assist in low voltage which I adjusted down in the controller menu. Complete distance was about 25 miles and battery still read full at end of day. So far great bike lots of info on the internet on how to change settings on the controller and how to adjust and or replace other parts. Great bike for older people looking for a little help getting up the hills. Lots of questions from all ages on where did I get it and how can they get one. To be fair, not a bike to order if you are not the kind to get your hands dirty adjusting, fixing and maybe adding things. For me it worked out fine even thought the box arrived damaged. I was able to inspect and adjust components that were slightly out of alignment.

Oh man they probably don't even have a physical office.😑

I guess you can start an ebike company, make a website, get enough pre-orders, and order them on Alibaba.
Sorry to say that some do exactly that. But the supply line is filling fast, and things will very quickly work out.

52 BBB complaints and growing.

We ordered 2 Himiway step thru bikes March 8th 2021. They were a month behind the date we were told they'd be delivered. They finally arrived, we had a professional bike shop assemble the bikes. So far so good as we rode them 3 times. When we charged the battery the 4th time, a great arcing spark happened at the connector to the battery and smelled really bad and burnt. The battery no longer would charge.
We contacted Himiway and they said they would send a replacement and we had to send it back. They asked we pay 99.00 for the return of the battery and we thought that was really odd. Here is where everything went downhill. We were told to try a battery shop. No one would touch it. We sent it back and after 71 emails back and forth and MASSIVE lies, we still have no battery months later. We were promised a temporary battery and they never shipped just excuse after excuse.
In conclusion if you get a good bike, lucky you. If you need any help from HIMIWAY, you WILL BE treated horribly

That big (huge?) very loud spark/flash as you connect the charger to the battery can be avoided 100% if you'll make that connection prior to plugging your charger in. Not sure why the potential for that micro lightening flash to happen isn't more widely shared. For the wife and I, it happened to both of us on separate occasions (after I had warned her!), that was a "dog only burns it's nose once" lesson neither of us will forget any time soon.

The resulting repairs could be a simple for a lot of DIY'ers. The connections on both side of that flash may need to be cleaned up due to the arc/flash that occurred (clean the black off), and a fuse located somewhere in/on the battery may be blown. Then you should be back in business - in less time than it takes to type out and send an email.
Best of luck
