Hi, new to electric bikes

Off road all day

I put together the cheapest setup possible, $100 Walmart bike and $200 Chinese chain kit. I figured 4 months at best out of it, i tend to take a lot of off-road trails.
450 watt, 24 volt and i drive it almost daily even in the Canadian winter now. Snow, rain it still goes.
The best part is i take wildlife photography, it's quite compared to a gas bike. I have found so many benefits compared to a 4-wheeler or gas bike.
Now i'm thinking to upgrade, the bike is starting to come apart, i've already started with an alum bike, magnesium rims, 30 amp hour, 24 volt Lithium battery, the rest i'm not sure of.
I took the motor apart to check it, the weak point i found was the teeth on the windings rod where wearing badly and not replaceable, soon to strip.

Hi! Welcome to the forum. There's a wealth of information here, but if you need help, just ask and the members will gladly assist.

Well done. If it got you where you wanted to go and never left you stranded, it's done its job! That motor kit is about $133USD (174 CND) on ebay in the USA, but I see it costing over $233 CDN on ebay.ca. I guess you don't want another one if the old is wearing out.

I suppose your current kit climbed well? WIth the 30AH battery, you probably went pretty far. How fast and how far do you go now?

Are you looking to build another on the same bike or buy new?
