Hi from San Angelo Texas - Radrover tires

I have a new radrover and want to go tubeless. I bought 4.8” Maxxis Minions. I messed up and didn’t order the exo TR tires, but I did get the 120TPI ones. After numerous attempts, four hands and straps, I could not seat the tire. So I gave up and mounted with tubes.

My question, are the Minion EXO TR tires a smaller diameter or different bead than the ones I bought, or would they be just as hard to mount? What makes them different than what I bought?

Any suggestions on tubeless tires for the rover? I like the fattest and I like knobbies. The minions claim to be 4.8”, but mount up at 4.4 on the rover. The 30TPI juggernauts mounted at 4.2”. With the minions, I still have some clearance for larger, but not much.

Any help would be appreciated.

Will your rims accommodate tubeless tires? I was at the bike shop today with a flat tire and the tech suggested I might try tubeless, but when he checked my rims, he said no-go. But I don't have a Radrover--I was at the shop with my son's Pedego Interceptor.

I’m pretty sure they will work. I don’t like that they are single wall. I sealed them with gorilla tape and put in valve stems. Even using a compressor I couldn’t get the bead to seat.
