I purchased my first ebike in early July and am enjoying riding it. After reading, researching and riding a number of different bikes I decided on a Juiced Ocean Current with the 17.4 ah battery. I'm not a lightweight and it seemed a good fit and pretty comfortable. It's a cruiser style with a more comfortable seat and more upright riding position. There is a bike store in Columbus that sells only electric bikes, how cool is that! I discovered it after looking at four other stores and discovering that ebikes just weren't their "thing". Most had a couple of bikes but that was all. I wound up doing my serious shopping at Orbit City Bikes, great selection, friendly, knowledgeable and encouraged me to ride a number of different bikes. That allowed me to actually feel the difference between a cadence sensor and a torque sensor and a mid drive vs a hub drive. The bike I purchased actually has both cadence and torque sensors and it makes the motor operation very smooth, sort of like you have bionic legs as opposed to the bikes I tested that had only cadence sensors which you feel the motor abruptlyturning off and on as you pedal and stop pedaling. Battery life seems good. With throttle only it's supposed to do 20 mph and while pedaling 27 or 28. I had it up to 35 mph while pedaling fast going down a fairly large hill but most of my riding is on fairly level ground, like I said, central Ohio, pretty flat here.
