Hello! I’m new to the whole Ebike thing but I am looking for a nice greener alternative than using a car. I need something under the 2k price point, and I usually do a 15 mile trip to and from school (30 miles) and I don’t want to use a regular bike since this is in hot Florida heat :3! Any suggestions or recommendations? Would like it if it looked nice!

Lots of choice under two grand, check out some of these RadPower bikes to start https://electricbikereview.com/best-affordable-electric-bikes/
Do you want a bike shop to service it?

Perhaps, what’s the advantages of it being serviced? Is it something I can do myself or…?
Some people prefer not to have to troubleshoot electrical problems but just take it into the shop. Bike shops mostly won't service the electrical equipment on ebikes they don't sell, some brands like Aventon have a dual strategy of selling online and through bike shops, others including RadPower offer servicing through mobile vans like Velofix. You can troubleshoot some electrical problems with a knowledge of the display error codes, and a multimeter, but then you may have issues installing replacement parts, so again many people prefer a bike shop mechanic do the work and that can influence what brands/models you buy.

Espin Aero for 499 pretty good deal. You would need to be able to charge it at school for the return trip...

Wow this bike looks awesome! Problem is I won’t be able to get it until January

One nice thing about Rads is there is a lot of good videos out there regarding servicing them including many put out by Rad.
All the rad bikes do look quite tempting, I was also looking at the newer himiway bikes, but I don’t know much about the company or the specs

Hopefully you know that EBR has loads of in depth reviews of lots and lots of EBikes. Just click on "EBike Reviews" at the top of the page and select the models you're interested in.
