Sadly, Chris, it is not. We have Dailytour but we don't have the Amiti and vice versa.

@Indira, see also the AnyTour. Still more beautiful than the Entour but cheaper than the DailyTour. I think the paint is not so nice on AnyTour as it is on DailyTour but I understand your financial considerations.

I have shown a 2019 model. Don't worry, if this is a new bike, the battery will be "hibernated" on the arrival. If you only could gather money, you'll forget the investment soon. Ride a bike you love, not hate. It is very important!

Does one need to be in fantastic shape to do 40 km's in 2 hours on an electric bike? That's only 20 km/hr. With motor assistance couldn't most people do that?

I was doing 1x30 or 2x30 km with a steel road bike in some period of my life, Chris. To daily commute to/from the work. Electric bike makes that easier.

I was worried if one year in the shop can significantly weaken the battery.

I have missed that point, @Indira. If the bike was used, the battery is weakened. If the battery was not used, no worries.

I had a bargain of my life: A "New Old Stock" Turbo Vado 5.0, the 2017 model I bought in 2019. The battery was 2 years old but never used before. It is "as new" still.

Entour bike, that I'm considering buying, is assembled and on display in the shop, it is also available to ride around the shop - for a few minutes... That is why I have my doubts about the battery - it is activated for some time and if they are not handling it properly in the shop, how bad it can be?

@Stefan Mikes that Vado is the best bike, especially if it's yellow ! Thank's for your hints - I'm waiting to see offers for DailyTour andAnyTour from my dealer.

@Indira it is good to have you on the Forums, especially as you seem to be a merry and optimistic person!
The demo bike? Oh, better not. The battery is warrantied for some years or for a certain number of full charge cycles. You would not like to have to order a new battery too soon as these are very expensive.
Report your progress and then post some photos! I'm sure we all here are interested!

P.S. I have tested the Giant EnergyPack 500 Wh in real riding conditions. It was an off-road ride (which hard on the battery), 330 m elevation gain. Assistance 2 used off-road, assistance 1 for on-road and after the 30th kilometre. The battery was good for 64 km. (I'm a heavy person).

Hope this won't come as a shock - but I did it ! I bought my commute bike!! 2-year warranty for parts, batterie and motor, and a lifetime warranty for the frame, combined with the discount price for Entour was unbeatable!

Haha! OK, this is the RideControl One. Technically connectable to your smartphone. I even liked the One on my Trance E+ but missed the speedometer (and had connection trouble with my phone) so I made an expensive upgrade to the EVO display.

Well, not sure if there is a protocol for that - for now I can only rely on RideControl ONE and its indicators. There are 5 lights indicating full batterie - yesterday I rode 51 km, with 250 m elevation gain, for 3h11min duration altogether. Most of the time I was in AUTO mode, just for some short periods in MAX support. After the ride there where 3 lights left. It took less than 2 hours to charge fully again.
How does that sound? Do you think I should empty the batterie more before charging?

I guess and hope when I install and run the app on my mobile and connect with RideControl, that I will be able to be more scientific about battery use (RTFM sais: Connected with the Giant E-bike app, the RideControl ONE features a variety of functions such as motor tuning, fitness data and navigation).

You should decidedly connect with RideControl App. It will tell you to update the software of the bike. You can safely do it. It will take many minutes, don't panic! When done, you, for example will see exact % of the battery left.

Are you happy with the Auto? Try to ride the bike in the Eco and Eco+ modes: you might be positively surprised. Or not
