Helmet Safety Protection Ratings

I'm not surprised to see Seth discussing a stupid subject that is not relevant to anyone of us :D

The US is a patchwork of laws. In Connecticut, helmets are not required for motorcycles or bicycles (except for riders under 14), but are required for ebikes. In neighboring NY state helmets are required for motorcycles and class 3 ebikes, but not for class 1, 2, or unpowered bicycles (except for riders under 15, who aren't allowed to ride ebikes). NY City has its own rules.

Totally disagree. An interesting chapter in the history of cycling safety, well researched and presented
Seth is bashing the failed inventions, which he would have endorsed himself had he been offered a free sample...
Look at it through my eyes: He's doing everything only for a better exposure of his channel.
Why even discuss failed inventions, with which the cycling hell is paved?

How does the airbag helmet work with dreadlocks? The guy does not look very happy. And how did they set it off, with a cricket stick against his head?

Except for L1e vehicles such as S-Pedelecs. Then you have to wear a motorcycle helmet.

On her test ride the owner yesterday took this one to 42Kph. It has a palm sized DM02 mid-drive with torque sensor at 90Nm. I kept the speed limit purposely low for safety. I could have set it at 80. She always has a helmet.

Heres Dans helmet.
We visited the crash scene as he was keen to absolve himself from error, conclusion low winter sun in eyes, distracting rattling brake caliper and mysterious invisible man who pushed him over and then disappeared.
He also exaggerated the damage, but it is cracked.

Could happen to anyone

From the directional skids there were twisting forces meaning the MIPs worked. If that is true the shiny lining inside the helmet would have broken loose. I have been riding with my helmet a lot more even when going on short rides away from cars. I had been only using one on big rides with cars.

I use my helmet constantly. Only time I don't is after adjustments/testing etc. on my local street.

My brother has a near collision with a rider of an illegal e-bike recently. Jacek flew over the bars and hit his helmeted head against the pavement! His head remained safe but the helmet was a write-off.

I went snow boarding in 90s and banged the back of my head so bad everything went blue for a few hours, I taped a large bath sponge to the back of my goggle straps the next day and proceeded to fall backwards again, smashing my head onto the icy groomed snow.

Not the slightest jolt, it was like landing on a pillow.
