Hi everyone, first of all, let me say that I'm happy to find this site. I'm a 73 year old male living in West Bridgewater. It wasn't until earlier this year that a friend mentioned that e-bikes were becoming very popular. Prior to this, I never even gave it a thought to consider one. Well after our conversation, I started to do some research and asked my local bike shop what he thought of the Aventon Pace 500. He said that he never heard of it, but went online and couldn't believe what he was seeing for the price. This is not a promotion for Aventon, but three months later, I couldn't be happier about my decision. It did take some getting use to it, but I now feel that I have a good handle on it. My buddy purchased the same model and we've been riding rail trails in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. I'm having so much fun riding and enjoying the beautiful scenery the rail trails have to offer. On my next trip, I hope to take some scenic photos and post them on this site.

Welcome to the forum! Good to hear how much you're enjoying the riding.

How about some photos of your bike?

After three months, how many miles do you have on it, and how far can you make it on a charge?

I have about 500 miles on it. I ride rail trails and try not to ride on the streets due to distracted motorists. I will definitely be taking more photos of my journeys and will be posting them in the future. Aventon claims 30-50 miles on a full charge. The longest trip I had taken was about 30 miles and the battery showed plenty of charge left. Of course everything is relative: the weight of the rider (140 lbs), how much you are using the power and at what PAS. Personally I look at it as a bicycle and power as needed. LOL. I use the power more often than not, how could you not. It powerful and fun to ride. A very sturdy bike. I did add an inexpensive seat post and it does smooth out the ride. A Satori Harmony LT2 for $25.00.

These photos were taken along the Cape Cod Canal on the Sagamore Bridge side. It is so peaceful and a relaxing ride.

That sounds great! And what a nice area to ride in. Good for you! I'm unfortunately stuck with riding on roads with traffic most of the time and it's nerve-racking.

I use some power just about all the time, but rarely at the two highest settings. Mine is a heavy bike and without power it's much harder to pedal than my acoustic bikes.

Impressive photos of a beautiful uncrowded area of 'The Cape ' Al.
Sagamore Bridge traffic racing high and away.
