I´ve been there a 337#, most 2 whl e-bikes are rated to only 275#. Some cargo bikes & trikes are rated
for more. It is dangerous to make a big turn on a trike over 12 mph, they will tip over. Spending 5k on
a 1st ebike probably isn´t wise. I spent $2700, + accessories on my 1st ebike only to tear it up & make
technical errors. I did however loose 30 pd anticipating it´s arrival. Truthly, your husband needs to eliminate
sugar completely, & radically reduce carbohydrates. He needs to adopt a moderate exercise & stretching
regimen & stick to in a disciplined way. My current bike, $1200, Is an NCM Moscow mtn bike,( a German
company in spite of the name). It has a very rugged frame & has served well for 4600 mi. However, at
350, the stock tires need to be replaced with something more substantial, & even then, at his weight he will
be prone to flats & broken spokes,( my experience). My sincere advice is to lose¨at least¨ 30 pds before
rewarding oneself with an ebike. I´ve been riding e now for 5 yrs. & am currently at #225, 6¨2¨. Your
husband can do it;; your support will help, but don´t coddle him.
