Hello guys,
I saw a Facebook post of a guy who had a problem with Speedbox after the latest Giant firmware update. Apparently his display has showed him some kind of an errror and the chip doesn't activate anymore.
Has anybody experienced this or a similar problem? And if so has anybody found a way to fix it?
Thanks for feedback.

The EU is clamping down on these "speed unlocking" devices because they want ebikes to be so slow that most end up buying speed pedelecs which require registration and insurance in Europe. Given that Europe as well as the US need as many people to consider alternative forms of transportation besides cars this is just brain-dead legislation. It's literally legislative capture by the auto industry (mainly Bosch), insurance, and government offices that benefit from registration fees.

Sadly, so many ebike riders in the US are drinking the 3-class legislative policy promoted by People for Bikes we may end up with the same muted ebike capability that Europe has. Some seem fine with that so long as they can ride a class 1 ebike on trails (so many are convinced that the class system is the only reason they were granted trail access...not true but it's what so many think).
