Yes, I’m new to EBR. Just took possession of a Riese Müller Delite while working here in The Deutschland and will be taking it home to Oahu in a few months. I was already a fan of EBR’s YouTube videos which helped tremendously in my search for an ebike.

My latest expedition on YouTube is to determine the best way of shipping an ebike from Germany to Hawaii. Greatly appreciate any member willing to share their insight and experience - the good and especially the bad - in this matter.

Welcome to the forum!

Cool that you're working in Germany. Were you there during the pandemic and lockdown? Must have been tough, especially being away from home.

That's a very well respected brand of e-bike you got... Is it restricted in speed as most (all?) European bikes are? If so, will you be able to de-restrict it for the US once you get home? From what I understand, European bikes are limited to an even lower speed than our Canadian bikes. The US models are a lot faster.

If you bought the bike from a dealer, perhaps they can help you with disassembling it and packing it in an original container.

Good luck!
