Read about mileage on rides with different power settings in one of the threads. People said they had purchased a second battery with the bike. Seemed most were from western US. Bought mine in Indiana June of 2017 first ride. Now 3900 miles and unable to purchase second battery. Giant dealers say they have to call there giant rep to see if one can be purchased. That’s as far as it ever goes. No battery. Just last week talked to one of the Indianapolis bicycle garage stores where I bought the bike. I purchased the first one that any of the stores had sold. Bought it direct online from giant to pickup nearest dealer.nobody ever gets back to me, phone,in person or online. How or where did you get a second battery. Looking at buying used bike online. Several on eBay. But they claim bike is boxed for shipment and can give no mileage readings which will reflect battery life potential. How long since battery was connected to charger.
Bought catrike Dumont over winter put on bionx 500 system. Mounted 2 battery’s one each side. Max range has been 84 miles with 2000 ft total elevation. Planning on adding 2 more battery’s for 160 mile annual rain ride ( ride across Indiana) or 1 more so do some 100 mile rides. Battery’s are 1000 to 1500 now if you can find one. Started with busetti from Chicago, weak rims torgue broke spokes, battery’s expensive. Prodeco ran well, frame to big for smaller riders especially the 30 mph off road bike. To unwieldy on tight forest trails here. Sondors were fun but under powered for deep snow on an off roads here. I am an older rider 65+ and in good weather ride 500-700 a month on road. Have indoor roller set up for catrike also fluid trainer for my old road bike. Bad weather or old guy day can ride indoors to you tube videos. Great for those rotten winter months. Ebikes not well liked here. Only group ride is charity or speciality ride use to riding alone since my road bike avg dropped to 12 mph unassisted. Ebike gave me back 16- 19 mph on my rides. Recent 27 mile Reid ride avg 22mph for 27 miles was 6 rider in of 800. Fun riding behind a fast group. Hell o this is me.
