Forum Search Upgraded!

In fact they were unreachable for a while earlier today.

We had a server outage today that affected our main site and the forums, sorry about that!

Not trying to be negative, but I am noticing much poorer performance overall on the forums lately.

Can you elaborate and let me know what performance issues you have been experiencing? Aside from the outage today, we also had an outage affecting the forums for about 1/2 of a day earlier this month (I forget the exact day). Any issues with speed, links not working, anything like that?

Lot's of timing out on page refresh or search. It's been going on about a month I think. This is in the forums only.

I remember that outage about a month back... I get lonely when the forums are down... in this Covid era, EBR is one of my only sources of some type of safe socialization.

Thanks very much! This update brought a lot of cool new features, search got an update too - when searching you can select to limit the search to the current forum which is really nice. When creating a new thread it will also auto-search to find and suggest similar threads... hopefully that will cut down on new people asking questions that have already been asked a zillion times

This update brought a lot of cool new features, search got an update too - when searching you can select to limit the search to the current forum which is really nice. When creating a new thread it will also auto-search to find and suggest similar threads... hopefully that will cut down on new people asking questions that have already been asked a zillion times
