First ride on NOS SL 4.0 and warning message

Yesterday I was finally able to get my NOS Vado SL 4.0 (2022 model) out for a ride for the first time since I actually got it in January. Everything worked great and all my accessories carried over from my SL 5.0 did well. I carried some tools and did have to stop a couple times to adjust the seat height and the angle of the grips. The only change -- other than the normal 4.0 differences -- was getting used to the step-thru frame that was my whole point in getting a new bike. But that went well also.

At the halfway point, before heading back, I took a break and brought up the Specialized app to check a couple of settings and was surprised to see a "Warning message" displayed that I'd never seen before on any of my Vados. It was basically telling me of possible water in the charging port or on the "battery connector". Very strange since the bike has never been anywhere close to liquid water and the port was definitely dry. I wish now that I'd taken a screenshot of the message, as by the time I got back to my car the message was gone and there didn't seem to be a way to call up old messages (is there?). Anyone know what this is about and if it's something to be concerned about? I'm about to head off on a group ride in a few minutes and will see if it happens again.

Could be dust or oxidation. Blow out the connector and push plug in/out bunch of times. And does the ride feel the same on a step through?

Probably a one-off since it hasn't repeated. Yes, I can't tell any difference in the ride. I swapped over my Redshift seat post and seat from the old bike and installed a Redshift stem to make up for no FutureShock on this one and it feels like the same bike (but easier to get on and off of).

Glad to hear Doug the new e-bike makes you happy!
If I invest in anything new, it is for my Fearless. Roadrunner (the big Vado) has nothing to improve, and it is a big boy! :)
