Finally have an ebike! Bulls Sentinel 2.0

After renting some bikes last year we ordered two bikes, a Biktrix Stunner LT 20"x4" step-thru, torque sensor for my wife; and a Bolton Blackbird for myself. I knew the BB wouldn't arrive until Nov at the earliest, so I rode my 26yr old Diamond Back Response Sport with my wife. Decided last month that due to delays and size/geometry changes that I would cancel the Blackbird.

After spending all the time between order and cancellation perusing and learning on this site I decided to go a different route. I ordered a Bulls Sentinel 2.0 via Crazy Lenny's! Didn't like the name of the store to begin with, it made me a little leery!! But I saw mostly good feedback from here so I decided to reach out to them about a bike I was interested in. Had some back and forth conversations with Evan and finally settled on the Sentinel 2.0. Evan was great to deal with and the whole process so far has been awesome. Got an amazing deal compared to the list price, upgraded seat/rear bag, and also installed my Jones H-loop bar for me!! Bike arrived on Monday and is now put together!! Looking forward to getting out there and racking up some miles! Still got some more mods (fenders are on the way, for example)

Thanks to everyone on this forum that contributes and answers questions (especially questions that have already been asked/answered before!). This is a great community and resource!

A fine looking bike. I don’t know Crazy Lenny, but all I’ve seen about him has been very positive. Good luck and ride safe.

That is one serious looking rig! I love what you've done to her! Happy trails to you...

Excellent... Looking forward to seeing some reports from your rides.

Congratulations!
P.S. I have read the specs of the Sentinel 2.0. Great specs! It's what you can expect from Bulls Bikes!

9 mile shakedown ride yesterday, even though it was chilly! Sun was out, couldn't let the bike sit there any longer without a more proper ride than the first which was just bedding in the brakes and running through the gears! Also had the newly purchased and installed Terrano XT. As my wife is a warm weather only rider, I set the headset connected to my phone and Pandora for some background music and turned the volume down. Volume is not an issue for this unit, you can have it very loud!! Once I hit 18mph the sound became very background behind the cold wind noise. Could still tell what was playing though. Over 22mph and it was harder, above 25 and I could barely tell it was there. Thought about turning it up, but didn't as I was more focused on the ride!

Bike handled really well, motor noise is minimal < 15mph and can't hear it at all above that. Will be getting some of those wraps for the helmet straps to kill the wind noise though! I tried Eco, Tour, Sport and Turbo. Flat, downhill and uphill. Hit 33mph max, and was super excited to see an uphill 19mph section that would normally be < 10mph!!

Freakin' love electric bikes!!! Especially this one!

Jones bar will take a little getting used to. I like that I can have a more upright position with the hands at the back of the bars, but you need to make sure you remember that the brakes and shifters are not there and that you have to move your hands forwards to find them!!

The Johnny Watts tires are on order and the 27.5x2.35 actually arrived. The 27.5x2.6 should be here soon. The MuckyNutz front fender is on, the rear should be here around the same time as the other JW tyre. Will try the 2.6 on the rear just to see what the clearance looks like for future reference. Will take a picture to help remember!! Then the 2.6 will be on the front and the 2.35 installed on the rear. Should be just in time for the weather to warm up enough to hit some trails!

Having a suspension seat (Crazy Lenny's threw in a Kinekt post) is going to take a little getting used as I've never had one before!

Disc brakes are amazing (203mm x 4 piston fr/ 180mm x 2 piston r). Single finger actuation with that stopping power is just crazy!!

My how things have changed. My poor 26 year old DB Response Sport is going to feel so neglected, at least until camping season when it will be back in service for riding with the kids!

So even though it was cold, I had a huge grin on my ride! Very happy with the bike, with Crazy Lenny's, and with you guys for all your input!!

Excellent. I haven't ridden one, but folks on here love them.

Hello, have you taken it off road any? I am looking for a ebike for gravel forrest roads and single track. This one looks up to the task but not sure since I can't find any reviews.

Judging by the picture and specs, the Sentinel will do in easy off-road. I'd only recommend riding at tyre pressure closer to the allowed minimum.
