Extended warranty for Turbo Vado?

Must admit I’m getting a bit nervous that my warranty will soon run out. Anyone heard of extended warranties for eBikes? I know the frame is lifetime warranty but it’s the rest of it that concerns me. My shop told me today that Specialized give 30% off new bikes for customers who’s old bikes are a write off.

I don't worry about the Vado SL or Creo due to the quantity of parts available. I know when my Turbo S has a motor issue it will probably not be repairable but I got three years of all weather commuting from it. I think we are over the hump on early adoption.

I suspect he's more concerned of a motor or battery failure out of warranty. Not that you can't get the parts but looking at a $1k repair is a tough pill to swallow.

Hi @Brendon@TBSM .You might know the answe to the O.P question. Any extended warranty available through Specialized or even a third party that you have heard of?

Sorry, should have answered the question, my bad!

Nothing like in powersports where Kawasaki can offer an extended warranty. There is a company now covering e-bikes (save for batteries which is understandable) called The Bike Cooperative and they have the Keep it Rolling Protection Plan. We're looking into potentially offering them so as to begin a trade in program of sorts.

Looks like it's not a customer facing plan, a shop has to decide to be a part of The Bike Cooperative or not.

Thanks
