Experiences with SRAM AXS wireless derailleurs?

The SRAM GX wireless derailleur is under $530 now at Amazon. The blurb claims:

The GX Eagle AXS rear derailleur shifts on command, whether under climbing load or sprinting to the stage finish, and is smart enough to protect itself thanks to its incredibly resilient Overload Clutch

Is this really true? On my Ultra bike, I've got a Shift Sensor installed to pause the motor when shifting. Obviously, with wireless the Shift Sensor has no wire to connect to, so I won't have that. BUT, if it's really true that I can shift under power, then it would be OK.

Looking for experiences. I'd love to get the new SRAM transmission, but I assume my 2019 Luna Apollo bicycle frame isn't compatible.
