Just snagged this rack off of FB. Open box so it was half the price ($320USD) and so far I am impressed. It drops down so I can open (partially) the liftgate, and can fold all the way up. Heavy AF (tips the scale at 77lbs).

To help with the blocked vehicle license plates, you can use what I do, I bought a vanity license plate with the SAME LETTERING INFO that is on your legal vehicle plate, I then attach this vanity license plate on the bike in plain sight, so I won't loose it, and leave the State Original License plate attached to the vehicle.

That's exactly what I did, except I'm using a laminated paper copy of the plate.

It appears to be a fairly close copy of a Hollywood rack, at half the price; apparently the cracking, and in some cases, the catastrophic failure of welds is the reason for the recall.

We have had the Hollywood mounted to our vehicle since July, we use it to carry our two, 65+ pound bikes. To date, we have been very happy with the performance; some of the reasons:
- The ramp makes loading/unloading a breeze;
- The tightening mechanism of the rack to the 2" receiver eliminates wobble, vibration, and chatter;
- The rack locks to the receiver, and the support arms which attach to the bike are lockable with the same key;
- When not being used, the rack can be folded vertically, greatly reducing its extension behind the vehicle;
- the rack can be pivoted, while loaded, to allow access to vehicles with a rear-hatch, like our Subaru Outback;
- The support arm, and the three straps which hold the bike wheels to the rack, do an excellent job of securing the bikes, allowing minimal movement.

The rack is pricey, in the range of a Thule, but its 150-pound (68-kg) load rating, ease of use, and secure attachment are worth it for us.

Oh, and it also handles wide tires, we had to retire our old platform rack when I purchased my Bulls Step-thru this year capcut.

I have the same question. I’ve been looking at this Kilimanjaro rack because the price seems pretty reasonable compared with some of the more expensive options, but I haven’t been able to find enough real-world feedback on it. I’d especially like to hear from anyone who has actually used it with two heavier e-bikes for longer drives. How stable is it on the hitch, and does it feel solid when driving on the highway? I’m also curious about how easy it is to load and unload the bikes and whether there’s much wobbling or movement while driving. If anyone has bought this particular model and has been using it for a while, I’d really appreciate hearing how it has held up.
