Thanks for the great info,
Looking for an ebike that has bells and whistles.
Mainly used around town, some off road but mostly tarmac or groomed trails. All good components, step-thru, light weight, creature comforts, ergonomic and user friendly.
Any ideas, any options, suggestions.
Thank you for your time,

R&M Homage $7129

Super nice bike that meets all your parameters except light weight; the Homage is approximately 65 lbs.

Not as high-spec'd as the R&M, the Trek Allant 7+ Lowstep come in at around 55 lbs. The biggest thing you would give up is the Gates carbon belt drive, which makes the Homage much more user-friendly and virtually maintenance-free. But $3500+ of savings buys a lot of maintenance or upgrades.

that Treck is kinda sweet.....for a Trek😏☺ but there is a huge difference in ride quality, the Homage is a super smooth full suspension bike vs the Hardtail Trek, i only mentioned the Homage because OP said he wanted all the "bells and whistles" in a step through, personally if i had the option i might go with the trek and buy an additional bike with the savings lol!

There is no e-bike to match all the criteria.

I would vote for Specialized Vado 5.0 Step-Through or Como 5.0 Low-Step as an all-rounder and for an e-MTB from a respected make for off-road riding. Typical weight of such e-bikes is 53 lbs each. There are lovely e-bikes such as Bulls Bikes E-Stream Evo 45 AM (Class 3 e-MTB) but making an e-bike that fits the OP criteria always results in the e-bike being heavy.

Added benefit is when one of the e-bikes is broken or in servicing, the owner still has the second e-bike.

Just my two cents.
