Ebike helmet

Some of us have been broken then screwed, glued, and threaded back together. You fit the bike to you the best you can.

I guess another consideration is your personal style of
riding when considering a helmet. Someone such as
an oldie like me riding an e-trike at 15km/hour doesn't
really need a full-face helmet for example, but a young
bloke riding rough downhill mountain trails should be
wearing one.

I note from watching US biking videos that a lot of US
riders—particularly beachside cruisers—seldom wear
helmets, so I'm guessing that in most American states
there's no legal compulsion to wear one.

In my home state, Victorians are looking at a $227 fine
for not wearing a bike helmet. Ouch!

It's a patchwork for sure. Most states require helmets for motorcycles, but not for bicycles (except for children where I think they're universally required). Connecticut requires no helmets for motorcycles or bicycles, but does for ebikes. In neighboring NY State, helmets are required for motorcycles, but not for bikes or ebikes... except in the NY state park where I live for part of the year, where bike helmets are required and ebikes aren't specifically mentioned. And NYC has its own weird rules.
