E-CORE EVO EN Di2 27.5+...run, do not walk, and ride this bike...right now....

Two very hard, messy rides in and this things is the best ALL MOUNTAIN bike I’ve ridden (yes, I know it’s an enduro). Have to adjust the set up a bit - less sag (higher psi) and near lockout compression (firm on shock) to help climbing. The bike climbs very well and is a BEAST downhill and over obstacles. The Di2 shifting has been flawless and the bike hasn’t had issues with the ice, snow and deep creek crossing. This bike has Magic Mary rears and I’m sold. I put the new Eddy Currents on my older Ebike (Estream EVO FS3) but this bike climbs better than that one. I’ve included some pics from my early spring ride today:

1. Steep, rocky hill covered in ice that was sometimes a fail on my old bike. No issue for this one.
2. Very Steep drop only 100 yards later that I have never been comfortable trying. This time it was a breeze.
3. Big boy log over landing on ice (I had a hard time standing on the icy trail to take the pic!). Again, no problem. This bike is a beast going over obstacles.

I’ll send more updates as I ride it more...go...out...and...buy...it!

That looks like a very large frame!
Congratulations on picking up a great bike. E8000 is tuned perfectly for the trails.
With 750 whrs in the tank, the range must be pretty good.
How does this compare to your E-stream EVO?

Im also curious how it compares to your E-stream EVO (I have a hardtail version). I would love an E-stream EVO FS (although I dont really need a FS at this time)

I got a 2018 E-CORE EVO EN Di2 27.5+ to demo for two weeks and liked it alot. The DI2 shifting was AWESOME. The 2018 model rode I think only had a 500wh and I ran out of juice for the first 5 rides before I came to term with the e8000 system compared to my Brose equipped EVO hardtail (650whish battery). Good to see Bulls upping the battery capacity (major reason I own my hardtail)

I did like the e8000 system alot (very well designed, low q-factor, uses standard cranks) except for the noise. It wasnt a deal killer though as I ordered a focus jam 2 with e8000 system on black friday but decided I really didnt need a FS for the time being.
 
Ravi/Link - good eyes on the frame size. It's their 54cm version - my son (6'4") and I (6'0") share bikes so it's a reasonable compromise. My other Bulls is 49cm and it's a toss up as to which size I prefer. If you're below 6', get the 49cm. Range seems typical so far (twin 375wh) while using the adaptive (assist changes with pedal torque) trail mode. Yesterday I rode 12 miles on icy, inefficient trails and had abut 60% of power left. Still deciding whether I prefer to use the adaptive power vs. constant power (med level). I almost never use the highest power since I feel you lose bike control and it feels much less like a normal mtb.

Vs. E-Stream, this is an upgrade all around as you would expect from a higher end bike that is one or two year more evolved in ebike design (My E-Stream is a 2017). Only downside is that the E8000 is not as smooth power on/power off and is significantly louder. My thought is that I'm always pedaling (power on) and going hard (noisy) so the downside is limited.

One downside to both bikes is mud/water contamination around the batteries. There is always water/mud around the connection points between the batteries and bike after a messy ride. The E-core is a bit better since the batteries are mounted on the side instead of the underside but I still have to remove and clean the batteries and battery connection after each ride. Sometimes the E-stream power will cut out during a ride because of dirty connections so you have to be on the look out for this issue.

~500 mile review. Still loving the bike. The build is a beast and I’ve ridden it very hard in some nasty, wet conditions.
The best thing is the overall quality of the build, especially mechanical components, wheels and tires and the enduro setup. The bike goes over every obstacle - uphill and especially downhill. I’m running more pressure in my suspension (less than recommended sag) and feel I get better all mountain riding (fewer pedal strikes and better climbing performance).
I love the two separate batteries as well. On my rides one battery is good for about 12-15 miles while two doubles that range (this is hard riding). Handling/performance is better w only one battery so I use only one if I plan to ride 15 miles or less. I also love the Di2 shifting when it works which is the vast, vast majority of the time.
Limitations all relate to the ruggedness of the electronics. We’ve all learned that for ebikes our toolkit better include some electrical stuff and we need to be good at diagnosing electrical issues as well as we diagnose mechanical issues. For this bike, focus on things that make the motor and derailleur work! Speed sensor - cable ripped off bike in first 100 miles by a branch - pic one used: Lizard Skin chain stay protector on opposite side to protect speedo cable. Derailleur cable - has come loose multiple times due to twigs, branches, etc. - pics two and three: rerouted cable and wrapped with electrical tape. Derailleur power cut out: Di2 seems to power off if indicated gear and actual gear become mismatched due to wreck, impact, branches, etc: power off bike and restart, shift gear to actual cog where chain is and things should work. Motor power cut out: related to derailleur power cut out and happens under heavy load/wreck. Same procedure of make sure derailleur and actual cog are matched and starting in low gear and low assist.
Still say everyone needs to go out and get this bike! Let me know if anyone has any questions or if anyone else has experience w this bike.
