Winning a "World Championship" is kind of like beauty, it's in the eye of the beholder. Any ebike competition at this point in history is worthy of note.

With all the talk of mid-drives of late, you'd think the top spot would be Bosch, Yamaha or Shimano! Nope. Here were the top three:

1. Yves Ketterer (Wheeler and-Falcon, BionX D-Series)
2. Marco Manuzzi (Alcedo Mark 1, BBs 01 Bafang)
3. Daniel Kiebacher (Focus Thron, Impulse 2.0)

Most of the articles aren't in English, but here's a translation from an Italian article.

And the winner ... iiiiiisss.

Electric power on the road!

new game-new luck ... new location-spectacular races!!!
The alta Pusteria, ideal for BIKE and E-BIKE has shown us: Here you have the whole program-and everything almost simultaneously!

Between sunshine and intense cold the athletes on June 13 and 14 are measured in two head-to-head races, but so that not only them, but also the bikes have been subjected to a tough test.

With ideal weather conditions, the Saturdays, on Monte Elmo stage was won by German Yves Ketterer with its Wheeler and-Falcon and with an extraordinary time of .7 0:31:20. Followed by Italian Marco Manuzzi with Alcedo Mark 1 and by German Silke Keinath with KTM Grinds Lycan GPS +.

Extreme conditions Sunday, where opposing the goal would be to Marchkinkele, over 2,500 metres. For security reasons, is that I arrive were moved further down so that finally there are 7 km of track to decide the victory. New winner Yves Ketterer, followed by Marco Manuzzi and Daniel with his Focus Kiebacher Thron Impulse 2.0.

We should petition Sea Otter Classic folks to have an e-bike race (assuming they don't). This is great and fun news. BTW, saw an old man on a tricked out ST2 at coffee today. To say that he was happy would be a gross understatement.

Power is Power. Bionx D series is 500W nominal and likely peaks higher. Impulse is 350W, BB01 is 350w? Was the restriction on the Bionx off?

Also, dd hubs have more mass for the heat, than geared mid- drives. MDs are known for efficiency, not power. It takes focused design to operate Md's above 500W. Hubs scale up in power more easily. Up the amps and volts.
