E-bike Newbie question

I have ridden bikes my whole life, I have raced BMX and I was an avid single track MTB rider until I had a horrible knee injury that reduced my riding abilities, so I wanted to try an e-bike. I just recently bought my first e-bike. It's a 2018 Giant Quick-E. (Pedal assist with the Yamaha motor) I bought it with around 3,000 miles on it. Yesterday I went for around a 45 mile ride and the bike performed well, but the battery went down to 12% at the end of my ride. I used the ECO setting 80% of the time. When I got home, the screen said that my bike needs servicing. Can anyone tell me what the service advisory might entail? Thanks, Brad

45 miles on a used battery is good range, both for the hardware and you. Most likely the display is bitching at you for draining the battery into a "replace now" performance level, like iphones do. Just charge it, try a 30 mile ride and see if the display still complains.

Thank you very much for your thoughts. I have only ridden the bike around 200 miles since I bought it. I will give your suggestion a try!
