My modified van bike holders

I've been hauling bikes in vans for yearsand now I have a small bus and have never been happy with any set ups for hauling, for me space wise it's best to put the bikes up against the walls and it's hard to secure them there, but I bought some RV Hanging bike racks chopped them up and bolted them to the unitstrut in my Bus and so far I am more happy with this than anything else

which a company would make something like this that would bolt to L track or E track and move up and down horizontally and vertically, seems like it would be simple and I definitely would've paid good money for some because I don't have time to modify all this stuff

so this is not perfect, but it works OK, it keeps the bikes from touching each other and keeps them very secure without removing front tires, etc.

I can have the bikes in and out of the bus pretty quickly

Nice build and a great idea! What vehicle is it?

IMO, there's no better way to carry a bike than inside a closed vehicle. I'd dearly love to find a van with enough roof clearance to fit my high stem bikes. I log several thousand miles per season riding trails all over the eastern US. As a result, I need a van with all the bells, whistles and creature comforts. I also get into some fairly rough locations and need 4WD. I have yet to find one that has all this.

For now, the next best idea is to carry the bikes in the bed of a pickup.

As a compromise, I'm presently looking for a high rise bed cap that will accommodate bikes with a 60" handlebar height when mounted on a slide out rack.

Mine is a small school bus, 24 foot, it is the same length as a sprinter van but wider so easier to turn bikes around inside
But no creature comforts lol

I don't think any of the vans mine included that are built out into campers can fit bikes well except maybe under the bed

But these kind of holders would work in a toy hauler travel trailer also
