Dry run with my DIY rack On Vado SL

I am happy to report I was able to mount a rack to my SL 5 with 50c tires. I ended up using my rear bottle mount bracket to zip tie the rails. It survived a 70 mile ride loaded with 15lbs of gear, and 15 miles of rough off road trails. I feel comfortable taking it on longer tours now now that I also have my extended battery

Wow - that's some beautiful scenery! 50's? Those are widest I've seen on an SL. Hope you have enough clearance for mud. But doesn't look like you'll ever run into that.

It is rejuvenating out here for sure. I am pretty certain I could trap a fly between the front tire and fork but mud out here would require a serious Rain Dance. Once I wear these out I’ll probably drop to 40s.
