It's funny and quite entertaining to see people looks as you passed them by at almost 30mph, lol, I've gotten some dirty looks too. I used to drive my car to school it took me approx 30 mins to do so but now on the ST2 it has cut down my time to 12 mins due to the fact that I don't have to sit on the million red lights on the way to school plus I get to beat traffic.

I even had a the local PD stop me to inquire about my bike, they were impressed. I get many compliments but the regular normal bicyclist don't like ebikes too much so they tend to shrug me off a bit... I've also had some close calls due to vehicle drivers not paying attention and being totally clueless. The more I ride the ST2 the more pure enjoyment I get. It's a beauty

Sometimes I sit outside my downtown office building at lunch to people watch. Our area has a lot of police officers on bike patrol. I was wondering why they don't adopt e-bikes for police duty. Seems like a no brainer for the extra speed at reduced effort it would provide. Perhaps budgetary constraints?

One thing I've noticed on my e-bike is that cars do NOT like to be passed by bicycles. Like they're perfectly happy going slow and you pass them and they reactively speed up.

I smiled back at a pack of road bikers today as they looked, well with their mouths kind of open, perplexed as I passed them on my fat tire ebike on a long stretch of country road.

I have noticed too that in moderate traffic in the city is going 20ish as I pass people they start to speed up or sometimes even go into the bike lane to block me from passing. The thing that bothers me the most is people who speed up to pass me only to make a right turn in about 30 feet in front of me or they speed up to pass me to get to the light/stop sign that is 100 feet in front of me.

I personally get nervous passing cars on the right (e.g.,. in a bike lane) because I don't think drivers are expecting it or looking in that direction and so the risk of a right hook or unintentional drift into the bike lane/shoulder seems more likely. How about you guys?

This is something I've experienced multiple times while riding on roads with car traffic. I'm not sure of the psychology of it. Perhaps people aren't expecting the bike to be going so fast, or they're distracted from seeing a bike, or their pride is affected if a bike passes them. To be safe, I now don't pass cars moving near the speed limit if there are approaching right hand turns in which I could get cut off. Fortunately I live in a small town and most people are considerate of cyclists. Wishing all cycling safely
