DIY Hack: Add Flashing Red LED Light to Helmet Back

Just a simple DIY hack.

I didn't have a good place to clip my red flashing LED light so I looked at my bike helmet and realized that would be a good place to clip it.

(See pictures)

I cut a small strip of a stretchy thick fabric fastener I had and superglued each end halfway around the center pylon of the helmet in back. A piece of velcro would work, though I would advise gluing it just as I did.

My LED light is a simple clip-on, battery powered light. I got the light free from somewhere a couple years ago. And that was a quick hack! Now my light can be easily seen by people in cars behind me.

To remove the flicker of the LED bulbs, you need to specify the type of bulbs (LED) in the control unit or disable the cold/hot test. If you have the necessary experience or go to any car service, you can do that manually. Specialists will fix this problem within 10 minutes. When it comes to what is better, halogen or LED, I choose LED. For me, there is nothing better than smart light bulbs because they shine much more excellent and brighter than conventional halogen bulbs. It's all very individual, but I've already said who I prefer, and I'm sure many will agree with me.
