I have a 2 year old Daymak Arrow E-Scooter. My problem is the speedometer reads much higher than the actual speed I am going and I've noticed the voltage has gone up into the low 80's, even while at a stop. The battery is 74 volts. The braking system is regenerative. The rear brakes are an EABS (electric absorption braking system).
Just yesterday, my husband noticed that the front brake fluid needed to be changed. It looked like there was water in the reservoir. Generally, the colour didn't look right. After new brake fluid was put in, I took it for a test drive and the voltage came down to it's normal 74 v.. So we figured everything was fine. One day later , the speedometer reads higher than the speed I am actually going. My husband thinks it's the controller but I'm veering more towards the brakes themselves. The brake pads are still the original and haven't been replaced since. Initially my husband thought the front brake was heating up due to the water in the reservoir.
Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
