Dash cruise control seems to save battery

...compared to plain throttle mode of course. Statistical sample size is only three commutes but the first two times I was just using the throttle and had three bars left when I got to work. Today I kept the same speed, a little under 20 mph, but using the cruise control most of the time and had four bars left. I guess the logical explanation would be that the power delivery is smoother: the computer doesn't gun the throttle unnecessarily like I do.

A sweet ride BTW! I do get a workout on the return trip using only PAS 1 to make uphills less tedious.

I bet you it is more about keeping your speed down VS the steady impulse of CC mode. You can always ride in diagnostic mode to 'see' the values going to the motor. It takes 4 times the energy to double your speed right, and who can keep it under 20 even in PAS 1. You should try PAS 3 all the way there, then pull your charger out to juice up for the ride home, Whoopie!

Nah, riding in the typical 75 degree October morning here I'd sweat using PAS 4. That's why I wanted a bike with a throttle and the Dash is working out really well, it's extremely versatile.
