What is going on, good people of the EBR world!?

We're back with another review and will post it below for viewing enjoyment :p

I have owned an XF800 4th gen since 10-2020, I have 6,000 miles on it. I commute daily 50 miles round trip and do 80-200 miles on the weekends for leisure.

I have had some issues, but the company has resolved them, while slow to respond and sometimes argumentative and warranty coverage, overall the experience has been positive.

issues:

out of the box the stem was torqued to tight, when I attempted to remove the top bolt in order to installed the handlebars and align the front wheel the bolt snapped inside of the headset. I had to drill it out and replace the fork star nut.

at 5,700 miles the rear lower suspension fork snapped at the dropout. aluminum just broke. warranty replaced, had to pay for shipping.

beyond that the bike has performed very well. due to my extensive and hard use I have had to replace the chain 3 times, tires twice and brake pads 3 times, not unexpected for 6,000 miles.

I did upgrade the chainring to a 53T as the original 42T had me ghost pedaling on flat land and down hill land too much.
