hi all
please listen to the attached. I've downsized the video to make it small so ignore the picture aspect ratio, the sounds is what matters. I've taken off all of the drive side, I'm just moving the non-drive crank back and forth.
there's the usual clunk as the drive engages / disengages, thats fine . what is not fine is the squeak / whistle when going in the other direction. sounds like something wearing, some metal-on-metal. This noise has been there in the last 2 hrs riding , bike has done about 600 miles in 3 months from new. Its definitely coming from internal, happens when the cranked axle is rotating backwards and the drive ring is stationary. when riding it happens at any point when you just "ease off" - drive-ring going faster than crank for a short time.
anyone had this? can't see anything to grease.
