Crackdown in Singapore on Illegal Ebikes

I've looked at a lot of Singapore E-bike shops' websites to see what kind of ebikes they're selling over there, and they primarily just sell scooters, not true electric bicycles. I found five shops that sell heavy electric scooters with barely-useful pedals and only one shop that even stocks an actual electric bicycle. As far as I know, there is nowhere in Singapore where you can buy an ST1/ST2, a Haibike, or an Easy Motion --you'd have to have one shipped in from Australia. The article makes it seem like there are places that sell electric bikes, though, so perhaps my brief research into the subject led me to the wrong answer.
