Controller repair/replacement?!

My Smartmotion Pacer controller error went terminal. The controller seems to be stopping the power to the motor. All my diagnostic work seems to rule out battery, hall sensor, and wiring.
I've found the replacement(s) (controller, display, sensor, and switch) from AU. But since these proprietary parts have failed, are expensive, and will have no specs for them.

I'm looking for an alternative that:
1) are available in the US
2) have tech specs in case future maintenance/repair.
3) are reasonably priced.

Anyone know of mfgr or ebike shop (LA preferred) that is equipped?

How many wires go from the battery to the controller? If it's just the positive and negative, then the controller probably isn't proprietary and the world is your oyster. Then you can buy a controller kit from many sources, making sure it fits and is voltage and power compatible with your bike.
Save yourself some grief and get as complete of a controller kit as possible (display, throttle, PAS, etc.). I use KT controllers.

EBR reviews on tjhis website say the Smart-Motion Pacer ebike has both torque and cadence sensors. Your display says the cadence sensor isn't working. I would look around the rear derailleur for an electrical cable going to some kind of combo torque/cadence sensor and check its connector. Probably easy to hit something with the bike that loosens the cable.

The other place would be some sensor around the pedal axles, and a torque semsor cable inside the frame housing.

Basically, ebike repair is mostly about putting in known good parts. I doubt any US repair shops carry the parts for this brand. They can probably get the motor spinning with a different controller to show that's good.

Kind of says you have to take the throw-money-at-it and swap in parts til something works. Start with the sensor first.

Replacing with a third party controller will cost you the torque sensor feature. as I'm not aware of any that do that. Probably a good feature to retain too. You would also have to replace the display.
