Comparison\Experience of Bafang M series vs the Brand name mid drives ?

The m series Bafang mid drives seem very solid but since they are mostly used by smaller manufacturers I wasn't able to spot any real comparison of their newer motors to the well known brands like Bosch, Yamaha, Shimano etc.

Does anybody know any tests of Bafang mid drives like M600 against the usual suspects ? It would also be great to hear experiences of those who have ridden several of the well known brands and Bafang m series.

Note: I am interested in the integrated, torque sensing models rather than the diy BBSxx variety.

By the way the Ultra has torque sensing.

Yes ultra has torque sensing and it requires frame integration so It is one of the mid drives I would be very interested in knowing how it compares to the competition.

I believe Ravi mentioned in another thread that it is way more powerful then the mainstream offerings like Bosch, Yamaha etc.

Thanks for the link Ravi. So in your experience do you agree that these drives need better gears ? Sounds like the overall design is good but they may need some stronger gears for longevity.

What do you think about the smoothness of operation and efficiency of these motors ?

Yes, in fact it's quite a jump over the BBSHD which is awesome in its own right.
