Cheap BMS no protection circuit.

Here’s another UPP battery fire. User shorted out the power leads by reversing connections. But the budget BMS offered no protection. The video is terrifying.

No, the fella somehow shorted the pack wiring his controller. The video is pretty terrifying.

BTW this is the third disaster I've been made aware of with UPP batteries and shorted power leads. I have a EM3ev that needed a BMS replaced and a Luna Triangle pack BMS that protected the cells from a runaway. Both in my earliest days of repairing batteries, 3 years ago. I'd still use cheaper batteries but would definitely use fuses going forward. I've abusing this battery, fused, this entire summer without issue.
