This is not my video or my bike, it just happens to be the same color. The little protrusion is intended to mate with the top pin on the charging plug per the above video.
I'll try putting a little dielectric grease on it and see if it gets happy.
Less than perfect design. I've found when closing the cover, it doesn't, doesn't, doesn't close and with no noticeable change in technique, it does. Frustrating!The rubber dust cap on my charging port won't stay put when I'm riding, it won't snap into the frame
