Hi,

Apologies for the basic question, but after two years I have a slow puncture on my rear tyre.
Does anyone have any tips/instructions/videos that they could point me to as to how to get the rear wheel off so I can fix the puncture?

Thanks

Basicly its like this, although your bike has vertical dropouts. And dont touch the brake lever when the wheel is out.

Good luck

Thanks, that's super helpful.
So there's no complicated adjusting the belt, you just screw everything up tight and use those things to put a bit of tension on it before you do the wheel nuts up?

In theorie when you do not move the dropouts than the tentoon should stay in the belt. Checking this with a gates tool is always preferred but in your case it is what it is.

A properly tightened belt produces frequency of 33 occultations per second. It Hrtz.

It would be cool to have a 33 Hz bike bell so you can always check your belt.

That worked great, thanks - much easier than I'd expected.
I do have a question, though .. seems my tyres (Pathfinder Sport) are somehow connected to the rim on one side? Is this normal .. how do you get them off if I wanted to change the tyre?!

With a tubeless wire bead tire, you have to break the bead from the rim. If you don't have a bead tool, push with both thumbs as hard as you can to try and open up a gap, then use a tire lever to pop the rest of it off. I've also used a 1" putty knife, carefully.

Hmm, interesting, thanks. I did have a fairly hard poke at them, but didn't get it to break away. I'll try a bit harder when the time comes!!

I didn't realise these could be configured tubeless. I assume to do that I'd just need to get some liquid and a new valve .. perhaps something to consider next time I get a flat as I guess I could have kept on riding if I had.

I adjust spokes like that. The frequency is much higher, but you can hear it when you pluck them (as I’m sure you know)!
